Choose a cut number – size

The pattern size is based on body measurements. Refer to the size chart to find your measurements (bust, waist, hips, etc.) and match them accordingly.

  Vogue® , Butterick® & McCall'S® and KnowMe® divide the pattern sizes as follows:

& MISSES & MISSES PETITE (This special size is for petite women. Height approx. 1.57 – 1.68 cm)

& WOMENS & WOMENS PETITE (For the well-proportioned and developed female figure. Height approx. 1.57 – 1.68 cm)

& SANDRA BETZINA (Suitable for the changed proportions of today's figure. For women around 1.65m tall. The hips and waist are cut wider – the shoulders slightly narrower)

& Babies (The perfect size for babies who cannot yet walk)

& Toddlers (This size is for children with a figure between baby and child. The clothes are slightly shorter than those of children's sizes and have room for diapers.)

& Children (For children who can already walk and no longer wear diapers)

& Boys & Girls (For children before puberty)

& Men's (For men of average build and height)

Here are a few tips to make your choice easier:

& For dresses, blouses, tops, vests, jackets, and coats, choose the size according to your torso and bust measurements. Adjust the waist and/or hip measurements (if necessary). If there is more than a 5cm difference between your torso and bust measurements, choose the pattern size that corresponds to your torso measurements. This will give you a better fit in the shoulder, chest, and back area.

& For skirts, trousers, shorts, and culottes, choose a size according to your waist measurement. Adjust the hip measurements if necessary. If your hips are much larger than your waist, choose a size that most closely matches your hip measurement and adjust the waist measurement accordingly.

& For sewing patterns that include blouses, jackets, skirts, and trousers, choose the size according to your bust and back length. Adjust the waist and/or hips if necessary.

& If your measurements fall between two size categories, please consider your body shape:

& If you are thin and petite, choose the smaller of the two sizes.

& If you are a taller person, you should choose the larger pattern.

Your personal preferences – whether you prefer loose or tight-fitting clothing – should also be taken into account when choosing your pattern size.
