Marcy Tilton – Artistic design for creative sewers |
|
Marcy Tilton is an internationally renowned designer, author and fabric expert – and is best known for her extraordinary Vogue sewing patterns . In 1981, Marcy founded The Sewing Workshop in San Francisco, a teaching and activity center for creative textile work. In 1993, she sold the project, shifted her focus to design, publishing sewing patterns, and leading cultural workshops—today she lives in southern Oregon. Her designs are characterized by creative tailoring, sophisticated details, and a distinctive, artistic style. She combines wearable silhouettes with special materials and modern layered looks. As an experienced textile designer, she brings a deep understanding of fabrics, structure, and movement. Many of her patterns are ideal for adventurous hobby sewers who enjoy working with asymmetrical shapes, fabric mixes, and unusual proportions. |
