The fitted sheath dress with a bateau neckline and open back features a back zipper closure and a knee-length, narrow skirt that is lightly gathered at the waist seam and accented with piping. The lined, boxy jacket has three-quarter-length dolman sleeves and a stand-up collar. The gathered capelet ties with a bow at the front neckline. The ruffled overskirt in sheer fabric ties with a waistband that blends into the ribbons. Vintage Butterick 1960s. Authentic vintage reproduction with additional sizes and patterns.

Capelets and overskirts can also be made from transparent fabrics such as organza or silk organza. Lining: Lining fabric. Interlining: Lightweight, fusible or non-fusible fabric. Not suitable for stripes, checks, or fabrics with pronounced diagonal weaves.
