Comfortable, uncomplicated, and versatile – with McCall's Sewing Pattern M7345, you can sew various skirts for girls made from elastic knit fabrics. The comfortable elastic waistband and different hem variations make these models practical favorites for school, leisure, and everyday wear.
All skirt variations feature an elastic waistband, which ensures a comfortable fit and offers plenty of freedom of movement. Especially for active children, the combination of a simple cut and elastic materials is particularly pleasant to wear.
Different hem shapes and length variations give the individual models their unique character. This allows you to sew several different skirts from one pattern – from simple and suitable for everyday wear to playful and eye-catching.
For variations C, D, and E, the wrong side of the fabric is partially visible due to the special hem design. Therefore, when choosing fabric, ensure that the back of the material also visually matches the finished skirt.
The pattern was specifically developed for medium-weight knit fabrics with slight stretch. Cotton jersey and cotton knits are excellent for uncomplicated everyday skirts, while interlock offers a bit more stability. Matte jersey provides a particularly beautiful, flowing drape.
